Introduction to the NAG

The Micklefield Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) was formed on 6th July 2006. It is a group made up of local residents and representatives from agencies including district council, county council and Thames Valley Police. The aim is to tackle problems in the Micklefield area that have been highlighted as priorities by the local community following public consultation. A public meeting was held in Micklefield on 21st April 2006. At this meeting the residents of Micklefield identified their main priorities as Anti Social behaviour by people, Drugs and Anti Social use of vehicles including mini moto’s. The NAG representing the community now has the responsibility to find the best solutions to tackle these problems.

This blog will allow residents to keep up to date with what priorities are in place, as far as possible what action is being taken and to make suggestions as to how things can be improved.

regarding the three initiatives that the nAG are focusing on, when are the two relating to anti-social behaviour by people (which was identified as the number one problem) and the mis-use of vehivles going to be tackled??

They are being worked o al the time. The Corals problem was the first approached. This worked for a while but the situation seems to be reappearing.

Are there specific vehicle problems that you mean? We are working on the mini motorbikes problem at this time. Is there anything else outside of that?
