Drugs

Drugs were highlighted as being a concern of community members. A number of areas were highlighted as being a problem. One of these areas- the Phone Box at the top of Gayhurst Road, even appeared in the local press!
As a result of these concerns, action has been taken to target Drugs. The Police have conducted a number of searches during their Operation Falcon, causing disruption to dealers and users.
The NAG encourages members of the Community to report any suspicious activity- numerous short visits to addresses, vehicles and people hanging around parking areas, exchanges of small packages and money etc. to Police via the usual numbers or to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Is there still a problem with drugs in Micklefield? If so, where should the NAG concentrate their efforts? What can we do to tackle the problem?

Yes - there is still a problem in the area with drugs.
It seems to be moving down to the Herbert/Hawthorne Road areas with several households receiving numerous short visits throughout the night (sometimes up to 30 visits in one night!), however despite calls to the local police and crime stoppers nothing has happened / changed

Anon,
Thank you for your post this is what we need to know. I will update the police with the general area but would urge you to ring crimestoppers again. Please give them specific addresses, any names known and any vehicle registrations as this will help the police investigate. Then ask them to forward it to the Micklefield Neighbourhhod team at High Wycombe.
Thanks again.

A good post relating to the Chippy. This will be passed to the Police for attention.

It would also appear that most evenings/nights dealing is done outside the garages on the far end of Hawthorne Road - opposite the walkway to Herbert Road.
Sometimes conducted from three cars - reistrations obscured but one is gold; one red and the third is yellow - all three are small hatchbacks
