Untaxed Vehicles

One of the things that annoys a lot of people and rightly so, is untaxed vehicles. We invite you to use this post to log untaxed vehicles. Please provide vehicle details and where they are and we will pass the information along to the right people.

Silver clio X569 TFC parked in Hawthorne Road (by 117) and sometimes in Ligfield close car park has no tax.
It is also driven by a disqualified driver ( as per court round up in local paper )

Sorry for the belated response to the post about the Clio. This has been dealt with. Thank you.

The police have informed us the car was seized for a second time yesterday so thanks for the information. (The police cannot hold onto it if the owners comply with legislation but they can keep seizing it if they break the law once they have it). They will continue to monitor.

obviously the seizure has not made any difference as the car is still being driven by un-insured/ dsiqualified drivers

regarding the previous post - this is still happening, and in addition the young girl who lives there is also driving it as a learner but without an accompanied legal driver.
is there any point in bringing this to the attention of the police? as it would appear to have no adverse effect on these people?

The police have been asked about the above post and would refer you to the above. The car has been seized twice and the driver on those occassions reported for summons. They will continue to be dealt with each and every time they can be however the law (set by government) allows them to get the car back. In terms of dealing with offenders all the police can do is put them before the courts who then decide on appropriate sentence (again out of police hands). The police would like, need and want the public to report these matters as and when they occur which will allow them to try and catch them. So yes there is value in reporting the matter to the police who will continue to put them before the court. What the court do is a matter for them. THE CRUCIAL THING AS REQUESTED ON MANY OCCASSIONS ON THIS SITE IS TO PHONE THE POLICE WHEN THESE THINGS ARE HAPPENING. This can be done anonymously and will give them the best chance of catching offnders. Thanks.

this car is again being driven by both a learner driver (assumed to be a learner due to "L" plates being used) unaccompanied and a disqualified driver. More at night than during the day - reported to local ploice at time of driving

Hi , What on earth is 48 Mick Rd all about.Always 8/9 damaged vehcles in the driveway/garden really spoils the area when neighbouring houses are well kept.Is this allowed or should they have to get a license to operate a buisness from residential house ?

the cars at 48 micklefield have been put there by the tenant to stop the owners (from over the road) running their own car sales business from his front yard. Not sure which would be worse but know that if I lived there and my landlord was stitching me up in the way that tenant is being done I'd probably resort to similar tactics
